Kathmandu, May 4: The weather today will remain partly cloudy in the hilly parts and clear in the rest of the country. Furthermore, there is possibility of light rainfall with thunder and lightning in hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province.
This is due to the partial influence of westerly winds coupled with local winds, says the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. There is also possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous region of the country.
Later tonight, the weather will partial cloudy in the hilly parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and clear in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
In the next 24 hours, there is possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
The department has also said that there is possibility of heavy winds in one or two places in Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
