Kathmandu, May 13: U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson accompanied by USAID Nepal’s Acting Deputy Mission Director Beth Hogan and Spokesperson Zehra Naqvi visited and talked with some Muslim teachers and students at the Madrasa Fatumah Tuh Johora College in Lumbini.
On the occasion, the Ambassador focused on the importance of studies studies, life-long learning, and maintaining curiosity about education.
In response, the students shared their hopes for their better future and asked about things like ways to succeed, the educational system in the United States, and whether there are any madrasas in the United States.
The Embassy team also shared important information about local resources offered by the U.S. Embassy, including the American Corner in Bhairawa.
