Kathmandu, July 19: Out of 65 missing passengers in the Simaltaal bus plunge incident, two were found in West Champaran, Bihar State of India, according to the Armed Police Force (APF).

APF said that identities of 15 bodies out of 23 bodies retrieved so far have been ascertained while eight male bodies and one female body are yet to be identified.

APF’s Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that dead bodies were salvaged from Golaghat, Saalbas and Sisbar of Chitwan district while more bodies were found in the river-bank at Gaindakot, Bhutaha and Triveni barrage area of Nawalpur.

Deputy Spokesperson Thapa shared that two dead bodies were found in Narayani River at Champaran Nagaha on last Thursday. The bodies have been brought to Nepal in coordination and presence of the India’s SSB team and Nepal’s APF’s Border Outpost team, Nepal Police and people’s representatives, it was shared.

It may be noted that two buses were swept away by landslide at Simaltal of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 in Chitwan district on July 12 and went missing in the Trishuli River.

Out of 65 passengers in the buses, three managed to save their lives while 62 were still missing. Bodies of 23 missing passengers have been recovered till date, informed the APF.
