Kirtipur, Nepal – October 24, 2024: The U.S. Embassy in Nepal is proud to announce the return of its popular BookBus program, a mobile library aimed at promoting literacy, creativity, and community among youth and children across the country. The BookBus will officially kick off its new tour with an exciting launch event at Mangal Secondary School in Kirtipur from October 25 to 28, 2024.
This innovative program offers a mobile library experience, featuring book readings, hands-on activities, and interactive sessions designed to foster a love for reading and learning. Children and youth will have the chance to explore a wide range of books while participating in fun-filled activities aimed at sparking creativity and imagination.
The U.S. Embassy’s BookBus initiative not only promotes literacy but also brings communities together, creating a space for children to engage with literature in a dynamic and enjoyable way. Following the launch, the BookBus will travel to different regions of Nepal, bringing its unique library experience to communities nationwide.
