Trishuli (Nuwakot), Oct 29: Road connecting Raisingh of Bidur municipality of Nuwakot district to Khaniyabas of Dhading district via Myagung rural municipality would be blacktopped.

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) amidst a programme inaugurated the blacktopping task. It is going to be blacktopped 20 years after the opening the track.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed the belief that the blacktopping task would connect rural areas of the two districts as well as contribute to strengthen economy through marketing of the agriculture products.

Out of 10-kilometer road from Raisingh to Gogane, four kilometer would be blacktopped in the current fiscal year and the remaining six kilometers from Gogane to Khaniyabas in coming fiscal year, he added.
The four-kilometer road is going to be blacktopped at a cost of Rs 146.1 million. The construction company has got responsibility to compete the four-kilometre road within 18 months.

Officiating Chief at the Infrastructure Development Office, Roshan Pathak, said Rs 80 million budget has been allocated in the current fiscal year and the remaining amount would be allocated in coming fiscal year as it is multi-year contract.

More than 50,000 locals of two districts would be directly benefitted from the blacktopping of the road, said Mayor of Bidur municipality, Rajan Shrestha.
