KATHMANDU: The Pride Tech Kiosk Roadshow concluded its journey with vibrant stops in Janakpur and Kathmandu, following its earlier success in Pokhara. In collaboration with Women Leaders in Technology, the initiative brought together over 50 LGBTQIA+ participants for a hands-on exploration of technology and its career opportunities.
Cultural Affairs Officer Erica Alexander joined the Kathmandu event, emphasizing the importance of inclusive education and career pathways.
Empowering the LGBTQIA+ Community Through Technology
The roadshow featured interactive activities designed to inspire and educate, including Robotic car coding sessions,3D printing demonstrations, Capcut training workshops for photo and video editing.
These activities offered participants practical skills while sparking curiosity about careers in technology.
In addition to hands-on learning, participants engaged in discussions about their digital experiences and the barriers faced by underrepresented communities in tech. Organizers hope the roadshow will ignite a sustained interest in technology education and career development among LGBTQIA+ individuals.
