Pokhara: U.S. Ambassador Thompson toured communities in Gandaki Province this week, meeting with Peace Corps Volunteers who are working to address local development needs.
Since 1962, nearly 4,000 American volunteers have collaborated with Nepali communities, fostering development and cross-cultural understanding.
This festive season, the volunteers are sharing in the traditions of their host families, finding a “home away from home” in Nepal.
The U.S. Embassy extended heartfelt thanks to the Nepali communities for their unparalleled hospitality and for creating a welcoming environment for the volunteers.
