Kathmandu: Manoj Basnet, the General Manager of Annapurna Media Network, has been awarded the prestigious “Community Media Award 2025” by Triveni Times, a New York-based publication.
The honor was presented during the outlet’s first-anniversary celebration, recognizing individuals who have made exceptional contributions to community engagement through their work in media.
The award highlighted Basnet’s dedication to bridging the gap between media and community, a commitment that has made a significant impact in Nepal and beyond. Along with Basnet, six other media professionals from various countries were honored, showcasing the global reach of community-driven journalism.
The recipients of this year’s Community Media Award include Manjur Hussain (Dunia International & Global TV, USA), Harpreet Singh (Tor Mainstream Media, USA), Samrat Karki (Hello America, USA), Loblu Ansar (Bangladesh Pratishthan, USA), Yui Ji (China Press, USA), and Dave Llavanes (GMA Network, USA).
In addition to the award, New York State Assembly Member Jennifer Rajkumar’s office presented certificates of recognition to the honorees. The organizers noted that the awards were given to individuals who demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to connecting with and uplifting their communities.
