KATHMANDU – The Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, MAEDA Toru, recently visited Himalaya Eye Hospital, which received crucial medical equipment support through the Grassroots Grant Assistance Project of the Government of Japan in 2023.
During his visit, the hospital’s team briefed Ambassador Maeda on various medical activities, including the eye camps organized by the hospital. The ambassador was pleased to learn that the donated equipment has been effectively utilized, significantly improving the medical services provided to local communities.
This visit underscores Japan’s continued commitment to supporting Nepal’s healthcare sector and improving access to essential medical services in remote regions.
