CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said intellectual struggle was necessary to defeat wrong thoughts. At a central committee meeting of the Nepal Intellectual Council organised at Gatthaghar of Bhaktapur today, Chair Oli complained that the UML was attacked from all side while trying to do good for the country.

Stating that no one could achieve a success without efforts and hard work, he urged intellectuals to show the right path, the path of change and transformation to those heading in the wrong direction. “Don’t panic if hundred opponents continuously make negative comments, and instead think that they are scared from your ideas.” He also asked them to disseminate right thoughts in an organised manner.

Similarly, Council Central Chair Dr Dinesh Chandra Devkota blamed the CPN (Maoist Centre) for betraying the UML. The Council would move ahead together with the UML and make its ‘Mission grassroots’ campaign successful, he said.
