Gold price reaches 339,300 per tola, setting historic record

Kathmandu, Jan 29: The price of gold in the domestic market has reached Rs 339,300 per tola today, setting a historic record. Likewise, the price of silver has also set a new record, reaching Rs 7,505 per tola (11.66 grammes).

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, on Wednesday, the price of hallmark gold was Rs 318,000 per tola while that of silver was Rs 7,300 per tola.

Lately, the prices of gold and silver continue to rise significantly. On Tuesday, the gold was traded at Rs 309,300 per tola while the price of silver was Rs 6,870 per tola.

According to international media, gold in the international market is being traded at 5,560 US Dollars per ounce while the silver’s price is 120 US Dollars per ounce.
