Kathmandu, Aug. 5: The monsoon winds are currently affecting the country resulting to the generally cloudy weather conditions throughout the country today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
At present, the monsoon trough has remained slightly north to its normal position, close to the Tarai region of Nepal, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department stated.
There is a chance of moderate rainfall at some places in the Himalayan region in the country and moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places in the Hilly region and at some places in the Tarai region.
Likewise, the weather service predicted the chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, the Hilly and Tarai regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
