Humla, Sept 28: Snow and rain have been causing quite a stir in Humla lately. The life in the district has taken a hit due to the relentless downpour and snowfall. Most areas, including the district headquarters in Simkot, are experiencing disruptions in telephone and internet services.
The solar systems that power the communication towers in the higher regions have failed, leading to these outages. This communication breakdown is making it tough to coordinate with local authorities, security agencies, and other offices to assess the damage.
Reports indicate that several school buildings have suffered damage from the rain, and many roads are now impassable. In addition to the rain, Simkot has also seen snowfall, and the Hilsa route is completely blocked due to the heavy snow.
