Kathmandu – Sosika Basnet has been crowned as ‘Miss Little Idol 2023’.
Basnet is studying in Grade 7 at Cambridge Public High School, Old Baneshwar, won the title of Miss Little Idol as she overcame other 68 contestants from 17 schools at the beauty pageant’s grand finale held in Nachghar, Jamal.
The event was organized by Private & Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) Kathmandu and Action Entertainment.
Basnet succeeded in winning the title on her second attempt. A highly meritorious student Basnet is also particularly interested in extracurricular activities including speech.
Grade Six student Prapti Kunwar from National Blooming High School, Budhanilkanth has bagged the first runner-up title while Bela Maharjan, studying in grade 6 at Cambridge Public High School, took home the second runner-up title.
Patigya Pandey studying in class 6 at Gyan Niketan English School has won the title of Miss Little Talent 2023.
The new winner Basnet was also awarded a one-year scholarship, Rs 30,000 along with the title.
According to Rita Rai Dahal, the vice president of PABSON Kathmandu and the organizer, the first runner-up, Kunwar took home Rs 20,000 and a scholarship for her studies. The second runner-up, Maharjan, received Rs 10,000 cash and a scholarship.
Miss Little Talent Pandey has succeeded to win a one-year scholarship and Rs 10,000.
Rita Rai Dahal said that such programs are organized to raise the morale of girls and to enhance their expressive ability, confidence, and leadership.
