Kathmandu, Oct 14: A helicopter of Manang Air has crashed. The helicopter flying from Lukla to Lobuche crashed during landing at Lobuche of Khumbupasang Lhamu Rural Municipality at 7:24 am this morning.
The helicopter pilot Prakash Kumar Sedai, who was the only one onboard was injured in the accident, and was airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, according to information officer of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Gyanendra Bhul. He is out of danger.
The helicopter had gone to Lobuche to pick up tourists, when the incident took place. The reason of the accident will be known only after further investigation, said Bhul.
