Kathmandu, Jan 18: Visiting USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance’s Assistant to the Administrator, Shannon Green visited and held a conversation with employees and stakeholders at the seed company of the Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (SEAN).
The discussion that saw the participation of other representatives of USAID/Nepal and Nepal’s agribusiness leaders touched on Nepal’s priorities for agriculture development and the private sector’s role in commercialising agriculture in Nepal, it has been said.
On the occasion, Green expressed her excitement for the opportunity of witnessing the collaboration between the Nepal government and private sector to create an enabling environment for private-sector investment in seed businesses.
Earlier, Green met with elected parliamentarians and women leaders of Nepal.
