KATHMANDU: The orientation program of the United States Youth Council (USYC) 2024 concluded on Sunday.
On the last day of the program, former Prime Minister Babu Ram Bhattarai discussed the role of youths in the development with the members of USYC.
A member of parliament Sobita Gautam, singer Prakash Saput and photojournalist Skanda Gautam joined the third day of the program to discuss art, activism and politics of Nepal.
The participants during the program also learned about fact-checking and ways to combat mis/dis information and how to combine art and activism to address and bring attention to local and global social issues.
They also attended sessions on how to build a positive personal brand, and achieve inclusive economic growth and sustainable development using artificial intelligence.
This year’s council includes 55 members from 35 districts and seven provinces representing Nepal’s social, religious, cultural, ethnic and gender diversity.
