KATHMANDU: Anjan Shrestha has been elected unopposed as the senior vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI)
Anjan was elected as the senior vice president of FNCCI unopposed after another candidate, Umesh Lal Shrestha, withdrew his candidacy.
There was an agreement between Umesh Lal and Anjan after the election was set to go for the second phase when three candidates did not get 50 percent of the votes in the first phase.
Umesh Lal supported Anjan after reaching an agreement.
He was previously the vice president (commodity). He is the executive director at Lakshmi Group.
