KATHMANDU: Nepal’s President Bidya Devi Bhandari is visiting the Republic of Iceland from November 7, the President’s Office has said.
President Bhandari is to participate in the Women Political Leaders, a worldwide network of female politicians in Iceland to be held from November 9-12.
According to Bharat Raj Paudyal, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), all preparations regarding the President’s visit to Iceland were completed.
Paudyal said that President Bhandari is leading an 18-member delegation.
She will also receive the “Women Political Trailblazer Award” to be conferred on her in Iceland.
Meanwhile, President Bhandari is also scheduled to attend official events during her visit.
She will return home on November 12.
