Kathmandu, June 11: Eleven-year old Siyona Shrestha has won the title of Little Miss Angel 2024.

The grand finale was organised by Kalash Events at the Nepal Sanskritik Sansthan. Kalash Events is managed by Barsha Maharjan.

Rameshwar Shrestha, the chief judge of the show, asked the last question to her: What will be your role in reducing global warming? She responded as saying that my role will be in saving energy at home, reducing the use of harmful and non-biodegradable items, recycling and repairing to reduce global warming. Her answer caught the attention of judges.

Originally from Gorkha district, she is a grade 7 student at the Meridian International School. She also received Rs 10,000 in cash, and the certificate.

Nhujala Manandhar of Annapunar Secondary School, Jyatha Kantipath, finished first runner-up, and Soundarya Adhikari of Wisdom Academy second runner-up. Both of them received Rs 8,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.

Sayara Maharjan won the title of Miss Creative, Barsha Gurung (Miss Culture), Kritika Raj Bhandari (Miss Talent), Gracy Gurung (Miss Multimedia), Sahara Karki (Miss Photogenic), Mejana Maharjan (Miss Discipline), Riyansi Shah (Miss Intelligent), Pratikshya Bal (Miss Academic), Suryansi Bista (Miss Personality), Prashanti Chand Thakuri (Miss Smile), Brisha Shrestha (Miss Friendship), Arjabi Shrestha (Miss Leadership) and Arya Maharjan (Miss Athlete). The total 39 contestants participated in the competition.

Playwright Ashesh Malla was the chief guest, while educationalist Rajeshwor Man Shrestha, singer Anjila Shrestha and miss universe star, mode and actress Srishti Maharjan were judges.

The contestants walked the ramp with attractive outfits designed by 21 creative persons, who works for MKM Fashion House run by young entrepreneur Dil Maya Magar.

The contestants presented a welcome dance that was directed by Situ Maharjan, and choreographed by Rohiya Marhajan.
