Kathmandu, June 12: The today-scheduled match between Nepal and Sri Lanka under the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket tournament has been cancelled due to non-stop rain.
The match was scheduled at the Broard County Stadium in Florida this morning, the ICC said.
Sri Lanka lost both their previous matches while Nepal, who lost first of the four matches in the group stage, is looking to win the second match,.
Nepal lost to the Netherlands by six wickets in the first match of the group stage while Sri Lanka suffered a defeat to South Africa by six wickets in the first match and Bangladesh by two wickets in the second match.
Now, the Nepali team will go to the West Indies to play remaining two matches of the group stage. Nepal will play against South Africa on June 14 and Bangladesh on June 16 in St. Vincent, West Indies.
