Jumla, July 11: Guthichaur rural municipality of Jumla district conducted a commercial test of paragliding in a bid to promote tourism.
A team of paragliding pilots including Mohan Sunuwar, Sanu Babu Sunuwar, Raj Kumar Sunuwar, and Nirgam Sunuwar conducted the test flight of paragliding for the commercial purpose, according to Dan Bahadur Budha, Chairman of Ghuthichaur rural municipality.
The team of paragliders is conducting the paragliding in Pokhara Valley for long.
“Test flight has been successful. Rural municipality will conduct it regularly with the help of pilots,” Budha added, informing that the local level was for preparing a long term plan for the tourism promotion.
A local Tek Bahadur Bhandari said he was very happy see the adventurous sport in his locality.
Special training would be provided for the local youths to encourage them towards the adventurous sports.
The local level further shared that even an awareness programme would be conducted for complete test of paragliding tools, and health of paragliders.
