Kathmandu, July 13: American Corner Surkhet, in partnership with various organisations, organised a cycling event on the occasion of the World Environment Day, 2024. The event was a collaborative effort with BlinkNow Foundation, Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj, Save the Children in Nepal, Karnali Riders, Future Nepal, and Birendranagar Municipality. The World Environment Day 2024 is being observed on coming June 5.
This event aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues, inspire action to protect our environment, and encourage sustainable practices within our communities, said the organiser.
Cycling, an eco-friendly transportation option, has huge health benefits, helping reduce carbon emissions and air pollution.
Though this event, American Corner Surkhet encouraged community engagement and fostered a shared commitment for a greener future, it has been said.
