Bhaktapur, Aug 2: Fire occurred in a furniture industry at Madhyapurthimi municipality-3, Kaushaltar in the district perished the property worth over Rs 20 million.
The furniture industry was run at a house belonging to Shankar Katuwal.
The blaze destroyed the furniture and aluminum worth Rs 26 million, according to Rajan Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Bhaktapur District Police Premises.
Five fire-engines mobilized from all three districts of the Kathmandu Valley extinguished the fire. The locals and policepersons also worked together to douse the flame that continued for three hours.
