Kathmandu, Aug 6: Rainfall is now taking place in most of the places of the country.
There is a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province this afternoon, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Sharing that there is possibility heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, the Department urged one and all to remain alert in these areas.
Tonight the weather across the country will remain cloudy with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at most of the places of all provinces, the Department said.
Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall has been forecast at some places of all provinces. Similarly, there is chance of torrential rainfall at one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Stating that there is possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at many places of all provinces in next 24 hours, the Department added that heavy to extremely heavy rainfall has been predicted at some places of all provinces.
The Department has urged all to take precaution against landslide, flood as there is a chance of extremely heavy rainfall at one to two places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
