Kathmandu, Sept 1: Monsoon is currently affecting the country with the low pressure line located to the south of the average area. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, as a result, there is currently partial to moderate rain in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi and Bagmati provinces. It is raining lightly at one or two places in Bagmati province.
It will be partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and few places in the rest of the provinces. Heavy rain is likely at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
Tonight it will be partly to generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and few places in the rest of the provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
As there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Division has requested people to take necessary precautions to avoid disasters.
