Chitwan, Sept 1: Madi-Thori road in Chitwan has been blocked after the Ghanghar river overflowed due to incessant rain since last night, disrupting traffic. Inspector Kedarman Dong informed that as a bridge over the river is under construction, traffic is stopped when there is a flood. He said that the road will resume only after rain stops.
To ease the transportation, Mayor of Madi Municipality Tara Kumari KaJi Mahato said while bridges are under construction in Ghanghar, Bagai and Maguikhola, she has asked the Hulaki road project to complete the work as soon as possible.
