Kathmandu, Sept 3: Nepal has seen an increase in the arrival of foreign tourists in August 2024.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the total 72,719 tourists visited the country in the month compared to 67,153 during the same period last year.
The visited tourists included highest 25,832 from neighbouring India, 6,614 from China, 5,614 from the United States of America, 4,851 from Sri Lanka and 3,077 from Bangladesh.
According to the NTB, 41,304 foreign tourists visited Nepal in August 2022, 6,093 in August 2021 and 94,749 in August 2019.
