Thirty climbers summit Mount Manaslu on September 24 and 25

Kathmandu, Sept 25: A team of 30 climbers, including Sherpa guides, successfully summited Mount Manaslu (8,163 metres), the world’s eighth highest peak, in the past two days. The expeditions were part of the Seven Summit Treks Manaslu Expedition 2024 for autumn.

On September 25, 2024, a group of 16 mountaineers scaled the peak. Among the climbers was Bianca Jane Adler, 16, from Australia, who has set a record for the youngest female to climb Manaslu.

  10. Lakpa Tenji Sherpa (Nepal)
  11. Sonam Sherpa (Nepal)
  12. Prem Magar (Nepal)
  13. Lakpa Sherpa (Nepal)
  14. Jangbu Sherpa (Nepal)
  15. Prabal Lama (Nepal)
  16. Pemba Thenduk Sherpa (Nepal)

On September 24, 2024, a team of 14 climbers reached the peak. Notably, two of the summiteers–Jan Matiasek from Czech Republic, and Pavlo Bezdienezhnykh from Ukraine–summited the mountain without supplemental oxygen.

  13. Dawa Bhote (Nepal)
  14. Ngang Dorchi Bhote (Nepal)

SST informed that its remaining climbing team members would reach the summit by October 1.
