Kathmandu, Sept. 28: The Armed Police Force, Nepal has said that 66 people died of the monsoon-induced disasters happened after the torrential rain for the past three days.
The APF, Nepal said that 66 people died till 5:00 pm on Saturday in the flooding, landslide and inundation while 79 others went missing in the disasters.
Spokesperson of AFP, Nepal Kumar Neupane said that 35 persons were injured.
He said that the flooding caused by the torrential rain claimed 34 lives so far in the Capital City. It is said that 18 persons died in Lalitpur, 11 in Kathmandu and five others in Bhaktapur district.
Likewise, five persons died in Panchthar, two each in Dhankuta and Solukhumbu, one in Sunsari, 14 in Kavre, one in Dhading, four in Sindhupalchowk and three in Dolakha district.
Spokesperson Neupane shared that 15 persons went missing in Lalitpur, 26 in Kavre, six in Kathmandu, seven in Makawanpur, three in Dolakha, four in Jhapa, five in Panchthar and five in Sindhupalchowk.
Currently, personnel of Nepal Police and APF, Nepal and other volunteers have been deployed for the rescue operations in the disaster-affected districts.
