Arghakhanchi, Oct 29: The number of people falling sick after consuming prasad in a ritual has reached 35 at Sandhikharka in the district.

A local from Sandhikharka municipality-1 of the district, Dipak KC, had conducted a deurali puja where the invitees were offered meat as prasad. The prasad ultimately caused sickness, according to police.

Superintendent at Hospital, Dr Jagannath Tiwari, informed that those visiting hospital were suffering from diarrhea, vomiting, fever and body ache. They are however normal- out of risk.

Dr Tiwari said it was a case of food position.

Currently, 34 of them are receiving treatment at Arghakhanchi District Hospital while one at Arghakhanchi Hospital.
