KATHMANDU: Dinesh Sunar, a trailblazing parkour athlete from the Khotang district has achieved another milestone in his extraordinary career. Sunar’s contributions to the world of parkour have been formally recognized by the Council of the County of Summit in the State of Ohio.

This prestigious acknowledgment celebrates his role as a proud Nepali athlete representing his homeland on the international stage, marking a significant moment not just for him but for Nepal and the global parkour community.

Expressing his gratitude, Sunar shared that this achievement symbolizes the transformative power of dedication, hard work, and collective support.

His recognition is a source of hope and inspiration, demonstrating that perseverance and passion can help overcome any obstacle.

Adding to this honor, Sunar was recently conferred with an honorary membership by the esteemed Alpine Sports Association. This accolade, presented by President Ngawaang Ninma Sherpa and General Secretary Sanjok Acharya, is a testament to his remarkable contributions to sports and his role in promoting parkour education. Sunar’s efforts have elevated the sport and helped foster a unique cultural connection between Nepal and the United States.

With an impressive 21 Guinness World Records to his name, including his latest record for “Most Butterfly Twists in 30 Seconds,” where he achieved an incredible 14 twists, Sunar’s achievements reflect his exceptional talent and determination. Known as the “Parkour King” in Nepal, his accomplishments continue to inspire countless athletes in his home country and worldwide.
