Kathmandu, March 8: The weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and mainly clear in the rest of the country.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, sporadic to light rainfall is occurring at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali Provinces. This is due to the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system.
Later this afternoon, the weather in hilly areas of Koshi will be partly to generally cloudy while the weather in hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki will be partly cloudy to mainly clear.
There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. There is also possibility of light rainfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province.
Furthermore, the weather tonight will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.
