Bhojpur, March 11: The Sanodumma Secondary School located at Pauwadungma rural municipality has set up an e-learning centre in a bid to make teaching learning technology friendly.

The Ishwor Mandir Kathmandu Campaign supported the establishment of e-learning centre at the school in a remote hilly district. It provided 20 desktop computers, a smart TV set and a WIFI set to the school.

General Secretary of the Campaign, Sanket Koirala, informed that the e-learning facility was set up by bringing the educational materials worth Rs 800 thousands.

The e-learning facility would help both teachers and students learn in a convenient manner and whet knowledge on technology as well, hoped Principal Khagendra Dhakal. The new service would be utilized based on need, he added.

He further expressed, “We’ve been able to have such modern facility at our school. It tremendously helps us cater tech-friendly knowledge.”

Similarly, Chairman of Puwadungma rural municipality, Kiran Rai, believed the new scheme at school would be utilized equally by the teachers and students both. The social reform starts from the reform in school, so the assistance counts much, he observed.

He further shared that the local level had forwarded plans to cater life skills to the people. “In addition to building physical infrastructures for schools, we are focusing on modern quality education with the help of various agencies,” Rai added.

According to him, all 32 community schools in the local level would have tech-friendly libraries.

Moreover, former finance minister Shankar Koirala observed that it was imperative to make our teaching learning tech-friendly to keep abreast with the stride in science and technology. The Ishwor Mandir Kathmandu Campaign extended assistance to the schools so they could improve their teaching methodology.

It is necessary to ensure technological skills and facility to the students of remote schools so that they would be able to reap benefits from it, he added.

The organization established in 2056BS has been extending support to various schools for long.
