Morang, April 26: The Koshi Province Government has intensified its activities to mark the Tourism Year 2082 BS for the development and promotion of tourism in the province.

With the beginning of the tourism year, tourism related activities have increased in the districts of the Koshi Province, contributing to the rise in visitors’ number too.

The province government has planned to receive 1.5 million tourists domestic and international in a year in the province.

With the increased tourism related activities here, the hoteliers and tourism entrepreneurs have shared their excitements with the expectations of increased business.

The business communities here have hoped that the Tourism Year will serve as a strong tool to revive tourism industry here, taking it to the height of pre-Covid period.

Chairman of Hotel Association of Bhedetar Tumraj Limbu said, “We are extremely pleased. The Tourism Year will revitalize the hotel business.”

The districts of the Koshi Province receive the highest number of Indian visitors.

“I truly enjoyed Nepal. It is more beautiful than that I heard,” Indian national Kamlesh Sharma coming to visit Kanyam in Ilam shared. “We have planned to stay here one week,” he added.

The districts in the Koshi Province have also made arrangements for the hotels and home stay too to ensure better accommodation of tourists.
