Kathmandu :Nepal’s future depends on empowering its young people to thrive at home. Every day, the nation loses talent and potential as many young Nepalis seek opportunities abroad. Recognizing this challenge, the United States is proud to support the U.S. Embassy Youth Council (USYC) program, which empowers young Nepalis to lead, innovate, and create opportunities in their communities.

Through the U.S. Embassy Youth Council Nepal, 55 dynamic young leaders from all seven provinces have been selected to strengthen their leadership skills, connect with industry experts, and launch initiatives that generate real opportunities for youth across Nepal.

Following an intensive four-day orientation in Kathmandu, the 15th cohort of USYC is now poised to make meaningful contributions to their communities and to Nepal’s development. During the program, participants engaged with prominent Nepali innovators and professionals in fields such as entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, governance, and digital storytelling. Equipped with new skills and vital networks, these young leaders are ready to drive positive change in their communities.

The United States remains committed to supporting youth leadership in Nepal, fostering greater opportunities at home, and contributing to Nepal’s long-term stability. A stronger, more prosperous Nepal means shared growth and deeper partnership between our two nations. When young Nepali leaders succeed, Nepal thrives—and our friendship grows stronger.
