Kathmandu, Sept 11: Life of the people in the Kathmandu Valley is gradually becoming normal. After the Nepali Army took the lead in security in coordination with other security bodies, life has been moving towards normalcy across the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.

While representatives of the protesting youth are preparing to select representatives for talks, various organisations are calling for solutions to the problems.

Representatives of the GenZ have been seen participating in a cleaning campaign on the streets. Employees of the burned offices have also been active in cleanup, document collection, managing the damaged structures and construction. They are carrying out necessary tasks for the operation of the office.

The Army is also gradually easing the curfew and prohibitory orders. It has been lifted from 6 to 9 this morning and from 5 to 7 this evening for movement and purchasing of food, according to a notice issued by the Nepali Army Public Relations and Information Directorate.

The Directorate stated that the prohibitory order will be in effect from 10 am to 5pm on September 11 and the curfew from 7:00 pm of September 11 to 6:00 am of September 12.

In the Kathmandu Valley and its districts, peace and security have been effectively ensured in coordination with other security agencies under the leadership of the Nepal Army. There have been no issues regarding movement for essential work in the Valley. However, unnecessary movement and gatherings are completely prohibited.

The Army has said that during the curfew and prohibition period, vehicles on essential services such as ambulances, hearses, fire trucks, and those vehicles carrying health workers, security personnel, and media workers, as well as those transporting food, fuel, milk, vegetables, water, and medicines will be allowed to operate.

It stated that employees working in government offices, banks, and financial institutions, as well as public institutions, will be able to enter the office by showing their identification cards. Similarly, passengers traveling on domestic and international flights will also be able to travel to the airport by showing their flight tickets, the Army has clarified. It has also requested to coordinate with nearby security personnel for necessary assistance in the Valley.
