Kathmandu, October 5: A handover ceremony was organized at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office on Sunday, where 14 Peaks Expedition donated 207 tents to the police.
During the event, Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Dan Bahadur Karki, Chief of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, expressed gratitude towards 14 Peaks Expedition for their generous contribution. He highlighted that Nepal is highly vulnerable to natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and earthquakes, and that the donated tents would be of great help in providing temporary shelter to citizens displaced by such calamities.
Similarly, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, Managing Director of 14 Peaks Expedition, expressed his happiness at being able to support the Nepal Police, who are always at the frontline serving the nation and its people.
The event was attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Om Bahadur Rana, senior police officers, representatives from 14 Peaks Expedition, and other officials.
