London, Oct 13: The Nepali Army has won gold medal after securing the highest score in the Exercise Cambrian Patrol held in Wales, UK. The Exercise Cambrian Patrol is the British Army’s premier patrolling event held in Wales from Oct 3-12.
The Nepali Army team won the gold medal by securing the highest score among 117 teams from 33 countries that participated in the event, shared Assistant Lieutenant Colonel Anup Shah, Military Attaché at the Nepali Embassy in London.
The exercise which lasted for 10 days was divided into eight phases. In which the participating teams had to cover a distance of more than 60 kilometers within 48 hours with weapons and about 70 pounds (32 to 35 kg) of equipment and provisions.
The Nepali Army has been participating in this exercise since 2014. The Nepali Army also won gold medals in 2017, 2019, and 2024.
