Bhadrapur (Jhapa), Nov 1: As many as 317 new cottage and small industries have been registered in the district first quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
According to Information Officer at the Cottage and Small Industry Office, Janaki Bhattarai, 145 firms were registered under industry category and 172 under commerce category during three months.
He stated that during the same period, 335 industries and 332 commercial firms were renewed in the district.
According to Information Officer Bhattarai, in the first three months of the current fiscal year, registration of 63 industries was terminated in the district, with 38 in the industrial sector and 25 in the commercial sector.
Likewise, three industries changed location, 16 industries changed ownership, 14 industries changed name, and 10 industries added additional objectives, it is informed.
