Kathmandu : The music video “Mutu Bhitra Dhadkan”, beautifully portraying the breathtaking natural scenery of the Himalayan district of Mustang, was released yesterday (Friday, February 6). Featuring performances by artist and producer Krishna Sunar and Juna Karki, the video has been made available to audiences through YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms.

Directed by Kabiraj Ghatraj, the video was filmed over two days in Upper Mustang, Kagbeni, and surrounding areas. According to the producer, the production cost amounted to approximately NPR 500,000. The romantic song features vocals by Pramod Kharel and Jina Rasailee, with lyrics by Lekhu Sahayatri, music composed by Arjun Pokharel, and arrangement by Gopal Rasailee. Mixing and mastering were done by Kishor Thapa, and the recording took place at A-One Musician Studio.

Producer Krishna Sunar stated that, unlike the common trend of focusing on urban settings, high-rise buildings, and studio-based visuals, this project aims to highlight the authentic beauty of the Himalayan region. “Our intention was to allow viewers to truly feel the snow-covered mountains, nature, and the deep emotional connection of the Himalayas,” he said.

Sunar, who has nurtured a passion for acting since childhood, has kept his dream of becoming a film actor alive despite many ups and downs. Due to limited opportunities and life circumstances, he spent some time outside Nepal and is currently based in the United States, where he runs Karma Construction. However, he emphasizes that no matter where he lives, his heart and soul remain in Nepal. His love for Nepali soil, culture, and people brings him back to Nepal regularly.
Originally from Pokhara–Lekhnath, Sunar has been spending nearly three months in Nepal every year for the past 14 years, actively involved in music and music video production. With over three decades of experience in the arts, he has produced 14 music videos to date and says his dream of producing a feature film remains very much alive.
The video also features significant contributions from production designer Ganesh Sapkota, makeup artist Saroj Budhathoki, cinematographer Durga Poudel, editor Manoj Karki, and colorist Renish Phago. Post-production was completed at Luminous Postworks. Director Kabiraj Ghatraj also handled the choreography for the video himself.
