Kathmandu : Weather in all seven provinces across the country remained cloudy today due to impact of westerly low pressure system and local winds. As a result, rainfall has taken place in various parts of the country.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, rainfall has affected normal life in some places as well as snowfall has taken place at high-hilly and mountainous region.
As per the record of the Department this evening, some districts witnessed heavy rainfall. In last 12 hours, Dadeldhura district recorded the highest 46.6 millimeter rain while 42.2 millimeter rainfall was recorded in Doti.
Similarly, 13 millimeters rainfall was recorded in Kathmandu, 12 millimeters in Lalitpur and eight millimeters in Bhaktapur, 15 millimeters in Dhankuta, 19 millimeters in Surkhet and 11 millimeters in Gorkha.
Rainfall is still taking place in many districts. The weather would also remain cloudy and rainfall will occur in some places on Thursday.
However, the rain-causing system would become weak from Thursday night. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and snowfall at hilly and mountainous region of Koshi provinces as well as Madhes Province on Thursday.
