Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi), April 9: Traffic has been disrupted on the Butwal-Narayangadh road following the heavy rainfall on Wednesday. The Daunne section of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Sustaeast) along the East-West Highway has been completely blocked after roads turned slippery due to the rain.

The road near Ghiukhola and Bishwakarma Temple in Daunne has become muddy and slippery, and vehicles have become stuck on the road, said Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi. The road has become muddy and slippery due to rain since Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic jams.

The Narayangadh-Butwal Road Project has stated that efforts are being made to repair the road by laying gravel in the Daunne section.
As the construction work on the Daunne section under the Butwal-Narayangadh road expansion has not been completed it remains blocked even after minor rainfall.
