Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has directed its leader and House of Representative (HoR) Member Dr Dhaka Kumar Shrestha to submit a clarification within 24 hours on a controversial phone call circulated in the public media outlets.
Issuing a press statement today, RSP general secretary and spokesperson Dr Mukul Dhakal stated that lawmaker Shrestha has been directed not to carry out any of the activities in the capacity of RSP’s general member.
According to spokesperson Dhakal, party’s central disciplinary committee has been directed to probe into the telephone call and submit the report to the party within three days.
As circulated in the media outlets, Dr Shrestha has sought money from a business person stating that money was needed for him to support the party to become the Health Minister.
