KATHMANDU: Amid rising cases of Coronavirus cases in the country, the Ministry of Health has urged people to maintain alertness.
The Ministry warned that the number of cases is likely to increase in the coming days.
Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry, said that the current state indicates the infection will spread more for some days.
“People should abide by public health protocol,” he suggested.
The Ministry also urged one and all to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
Currently, the number of people with active infection has reached 444 with 21 people in isolation in the Kathmandu Valley.
Similarly, 10 people are receiving treatment at ICU.
According to him, in India, a new variant of omicron xbb 1.16 has spread lately.
