SANKHUWASABHA: A Chinese national has been arrested from Kimathanka Naka of Bhotkhola Village Municipality-1 for suspected poaching in Sankhuwasabha district, says police.
According to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, a 34-year-old man named Yang Yi was arrested from Makalu Barun National Park.
Police said that he was taken into custody on the basis that the Chinese national entered the restricted area without the permission of the Immigration Department,
The reason why this Chinese national came to Nepal is not known yet.
Police said they have sent Yang to the Department of Immigration for investigation in Kathmandu.
