Inspector General of Nepal Police, Basant Bahadur Kunwar, has handed over the INTERPOL flag hoisted at the top of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Sagarmatha or Everest to Interpol President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi and General Secretary Jürgen Stock. The flag was handed over during the 18th Heads of National Central Bureau (NCB) conference, which started on Wednesday in Singapore.
As part of the celebration of INTERPOL centenary year, Sub-Inspector Purushottam Nepali from Nepal, the 100th member of INTERPOL, successfully scaled Mount Sagarmatha at 10:15 am on May 16. During the conference that will be end on Friday, discussion will be held on coordination and cooperation among the NCB chiefs of all 195 INTERPOL member states and the Secretary General on ways to control international crimes.
Chief of NCB Kathmandu, Inspector General of Police Kunwar and NCB Kathmandu branch chief Superintendent of Police Anupam Shamsher JB Rana are participating in the conference.
