Khotang: The house of Man Bahadur Magar of Nayabasti in Kharmi of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-11 has been completely gutted in an incident of fire, that reportedly started from the electricity meter box.
The three-storey house with a zinc roof, 50,000 rupees in cash, gold and silver ornaments, grains, utensils, clothes, wood and other assets were completely burnt in the fire that took place on Sunday afternoon.
Assistant Inspector Shiv Niraula of Police Station Talakarkha said property worth more than 3.2 million rupees was gutted.
Ward president Ikha Bahadur Rai said that the Magar couple, who lost their house and all their belongings due to the fire, has been provided temporary food and accommodation at Rajkumar Rai’s house of the same place.
