Kathmandu: The Narayangarh-Muglin road has once again been obstructed as a result of a landslide.
Traffic in both directions has come to a halt following the occurrence of a landslide at bridge number three in Chitwan’s Ichhakamana Rural Municipality earlier on Monday. Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris caused by the landslide.
According to Police Inspector Bishal Tamang of the Area Police Office in Muglin, the landslide has disrupted two-way traffic along the Narayangarh-Muglin road. A truck with license plate Na 6 Kha 710 overturned in the landslide, resulting in minor injuries to the driver.
Authorities are making preparations to remove the landslide debris and recover the truck. This particular site has been prone to recurring landslides. The road section, which experienced an 18-hour disruption on Sunday, had recently resumed operation. However, shortly after reopening, another landslide occurred, prompting swift clearance efforts to restore traffic.
The Narayangarh-Muglin road is heavily traveled, with thousands of vehicles passing through it daily. The frequent disruptions have significantly impacted passengers traveling to and from different parts of the country.
