August 7, Kathmandu: The ‘rescue tunnel’ on the Nagdhunga-Naubise tunnel will witness a ‘breakthrough’ on Monday.
The foundation stone was laid in October 2019. The rescue tunnel will be opened on Monday.
Dr Bijay Jaisi, head of the Road Department, Development Assistance Coordination Branch, said that the ‘breakthrough’ of the rescue tunnel would be made in the presence of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala on Monday.
The work on the main tunnel of the Nagdhunga-Naubise, which is 2.5 km long, is now only 18 per cent left.
